2010 Chili Cook Off and Salsa Tasting
Saturday, September 18 from
11:00am to 3:00pm
An annual event that benefits local causes including the beautification of Historic Downtown Monument and other local charities, the Chili Cook-Off and Salsa Tasting is one of Monument's most popular events.
Community Chili and Salsa Teams will Shoot It Out for Awards and Prizes. Your vote will determine the People's Choice Awards. Chili and Salsa Tasting and Baked Spuds are available along with cold craft beer and HOT live music.

Do You Dish Out a Mean Chili or Salsa?
Take a group of your favorite friends, co-workers, club members, relatives, poker buddies, sewing circles, etc., and mix well. Add your groups' knowledge of the best darn chili or salsa this side of the Palmer Divide. Stir contents in Historic Downtown Monument. Bring to simmer and garnish with laughs, fame, prizes, tall tales and serve your neighbors with community spirit.
All styles welcome, red, green, white, with or without beans or meat, spicy, mild, sweet, gourmet, traditional and unique!
