from 10:00am to 2:00pm


The 2011 Small Christmas events are follows:

  • Join Santa and Mrs. Claus on the heated patio at La Casa Fiesta between 10am and noon.
  • Children’s Holiday Crafts will be at the Fire Admin Building from 10am to 2pm, (door closed to new crafters at 1:30).
  • Hayrides around town throughout the day
  • Stop by Gloss to warm up with a hot beverage and pull a candy cane out of a basket for a surprise discount at checkout!
  • Join Village Merchants for refreshments and a raffle drawing for a huge gift basket.
  • Hangers employees and volunteers will help children “shop” for their parents and family members from the many new or like new items donated throughout the year from the community. We also provide all the materials for the items to be wrapped.
  • Come see the beautiful Holiday Decorations at Bella Casa, enjoy refreshments while you browse and register to win a free gift.
  • Trunk Show featuring Darlene Armstrong, a Colorado artist, at Santa Fe Trail Jewelry.
  • Join Prickly Pear for some refreshments and enjoy our festive holiday decorations.
  • Covered Treasures is hosting signings throughout the day: From 11am to 1pm come meet Barb Tyner, The Badger the Dog author, her latest title is Badger the Dog: Lost and Found.  Mike Nicolls will be here with his two topo maps of the Sawatch Range and the New Santa Fe Trail.  Mike is from Colorado Springs.  From noon until 2pm, Robert Bush will be here signing Shortcut to Heaven and his latest, The Janitor Brigade.
  • Santa’s favorite elf, “Puddin Bed-Head,” will be at the Healing Touch Massage Studio in the Chapala Building from 10am to 2pm with candy canes.
  • Bella Art & Frame will be having an Artists’ Reception from 6pm to 9pm on Fri. Dec. 2nd, featuring the work of photographer Matt Bolejack, and artists Erin Hill and Richard Hart whose works will be shown thru Dec 24. Visit us Dec 3rd and 4th, 10am to 4pm, for face painting for all ages; Santa’s workshop for ages 5–12; holiday gift baskets and samples by Monumental Confections and by Organo Gold Gourmet Coffee; and snacks.
  • High Country Home & Garden will be sharing Christmas entertaining appetizer ideas. Sample some great, fast and easy finger food for your Christmas party or pot-luck! From 11am to 2pm.
  • Margo’s on the Alley has beautiful holiday decorations along with some tasty refreshments.
  • Join us for holiday tattoos and holiday refreshments at Luna Spa and Salon.
  • Crafty Laine will be providing materials and instruction for a FREE Make-and-Take Flower Pin from 10am to 2pm. Limit one per person please, open to all ages with adult supervision, while supplies last.
  • Miniature donkeys at Monumental Toys and Miniatures, 10am to 2pm.
  • Expectations Spa and Salon will have free face painting from 11am to 2pm.
  • Wisdom Tea House will have an open house and 20 percent off packaged tea today only. The tea house is a great place to celebrate the holidays with friends and family.
  • La Casa Fiesta will be serving complimentary hot chocolate on our heated patio while you wait to see Santa and Mrs. Claus.
  • Reindeer at Front Street Square throughout the day.
  • The Love Shop will have Aspen Mulling Spices to taste and a perfect gift for everyone on your list and special sales to celebrate Small Town Christmas.
  • Enter for a chance to win a nostalgic Secret Santa gift every hour today at Retrospect Dry Goods! Also enjoy 20% off all holiday ornaments and decor! 
  • Kids, come make a free Hollyberry bracelet for yourself or as a gift at Heart and Hand/The Bead Corner.
  • Frog on a Limb will have a dulcimer player from noon to 2pm. Refreshments will be served, and a raffle drawing held.
  • The Kiwanas will have an arts and craft fair at Grace Best from 10am-4pm on Sat and 11am-4pm on Sun.
  • St. Peter’s Church will have a boutique and holiday bazaar from 9am-5pm on Saturday.
